Fighting is Magic (upcoming fan game)

Someone on ponychan named Prominence had announced a fangame all allows you to beat the everloving crap out of your favorite ponyvillians.  Not much information has been revealed other than there will be seventeen characters total and the mane six will all be playable.

Didn't know AJ was a Randy Savage fan.

All those pics carry the Marevel vs. Clopcom tag, which I've seen pop up on ponibooru many times before.  No idea if those old pics will carry over into gameplay.

This should be fun!  I would love to see the Sonic Rainboom as a special move from Dash.

My not-so-inner nerd wonders if there would easter egg/unloackable characters like some G1 characters

actually, no, that would be pointless (lol Firefly = recolor/clone Rainbow Dash)

how about some BG ponies instead 8O

It's a pity it wasn't based around those photoshopped "screencaps" that got posted on Ponibooru a while back, with the huge character roster and the special move bar. Still, the fact that it seems to be an actual game makes it even better.

*Fingers crossed for no pallet swaps, unlike Hasbro's latest wave* :P

Looks pretty damn sweet.  The creator says these are only placeholder moves which would explain why a pony is using a Savage Elbow Drop, and that the video exists only to test impact and collision.

Love how AJ's alternative palette is Granny Smith.

From the looks of things it seems this can be played with only one button.  Hope that changes.

The only reason I'm not jizzing in excitement is because whenever it's done, I'm sure there won't be a "port" playable on my shitfuck comp >8CCCCCC

good work, though. :o

I never liked Fighting games, but it's a fan project so I'm not complaining. I just don't like the idea pony friends fighting one another

It wouldn't be so good; Friendships would be the only finishing move.

Huh? No falling hays? No anvils? No knocking into a pit?
... Unless it would be unlocked with a special code (*points to Genesis version of MK*)

Now that I think about it the trailer seems closer to Tekken to a capcom fighter.  Capcom loves to have their over the top apocalyptic chi projectiles and darkness swarm summons whilst this is nothing but physical hoof-to-hoof combat.
