Mystique is my favourite member of the brotherhood
-----
Saw The Little Prince it was pretty good, I liked the blending of CGI and claymation, kind of wish there was more claymation but I understand that it is expensive to do. the character dynamic was worth watching

I just watched Donnie Darko last night, it was an amazingly mind bending movie.

Freaked me out the first time I saw it lol. But, yeah, it's truly a deep and artistic movie all around. with the visuals and the way the plot plays out.

MAKE ROOM FOR MY HYPE BECAUSE LADIES AND GENTS I SAW ZOOTOPIA LAST NIGHT AND I FELL IN LOOOOVE!!

[contain spoilers and long annoying blabla about animation details]

Okay so, as I was expecting, the animation was just AMAZING!! It was so good, I will go ahead and say it topped HTTYD2. Really I was very impressed! The expressions too were very realistic and there was a wide variety range of them, it's crazyyy. When little Nick cried after what the other kids did to him, there's a fraction of second when he looked up in despair before crying, and it's this type of things that I absolutely LOVE to see in animations. The rain on the train when it enters the tropical forest zone oh my Goood!! And the humour! I laughed so hard the whole time, especially with Flash bahah! I didn't see that coming in the end with his car omg! I also loved that they made the effort to show other mammals than the classics such as cats and dogs. I really hope they will make a second movie, because this can go in many directions. As I said it's a perfect mirror of our advanced society so there is endless possibilities with this universe. For example I would love to see marine mammals like whales and dolphins. Oh and yes, I SHIP JUDY AND NICK! I SHIPPED THEM BEFORE THE MOVIE ANYWAY!! Gosh I'm being aggressive lmao!

EDIT: Something I forgot to mention. Some of the scenes were very hard IMO, the worst being when they put the museliere (I'm not sure how to English this word... muzzle?) on little Nick. I don't know if I was the only one feeling this way but I was shocked when it happened and I felt a piece of my heart dying.

And Vay you were right about the moral. With Zootopia and Inside Out, Disney showed that animation movies really aren't just for kids. There is such a complexity in these movies nowadays, and with Zootopia I was twice as pleased because beside being able to pull off such an intricate and complete universe in just 1h30 and mirroring our advanced society, it answers a question that is very current. There is a blaming trend going on with people nowadays, and Zootopia says it all: Anyone can be victim of discrimination, and blaming others for your own problem is not the answer. Change start with ourselves. I also loved the other moral, when they said anyone can be anything they want. It's not just about professions, but wether you choose to be someone descent, open-minded and respectful or not. Really this is a very intelligent movie.

A little something on Frozen since it was the last hit before Zootopia:
I won't compare the two because I personally separate the Princess movies with the rest. Especially with Frozen and Tangled. They were both worked as if they were a big painting, Tangled being very colourful and Frozen being a blank canvas. For me it's more like two pieces that completed each other. Anyway, I'm rambling now. q:

Australian film, I quite enjoyed it. It's quite quirky and wouldn't be for everybody though.

I enjoyed it! I thought it was good. Maybe not good enough for me to want to watch over again, but I think it is worth checking out.
